It won’t be wrong to say that tornadoes are common in Virginia. In fact, nearly ten tornadoes hit this part of the United States every year. Nearly 43 percent of its tornadoes fall under the F-1 category, which has cost Virginia about $1 million in damages.
Please note that Virginia suffers mostly in the months of April and September. Tornadoes are basically produced whenever a hurricane passes through it. Densely populated areas have more tornadoes than others, and people have to lose their valuables and sometimes lives.

How Many Of Them Happened Here?
Nearly 900 tornadoes have happened in Virginia since 1950 and the number is counting. It should be noticed that tornadoes have been recorded since the 17th century, but there is no solid information on all of them.
Most recently, Virginia Beach was hit by a severe storm and this caused a lot of damage to different homes. A state of emergency was declared but the situation seems to be under control. Communities across the area are being cleaned up.
