Who Is Chicago Resiliency Fund Program For?
The funding program has about $14.68 million for eligible domestic workers and undocumented residents. In case you don’t know, let me tell you that a domestic worker is a person who performs different tasks at home, such as cleaning the entire house, preparing the food, ironing and washing clothes, looking after the elderly, pets and kids, driving for the family and taking care of the garden.
On the other hand, an undocumented resident is a person who resides in the United States without legal documents. These individuals are not provided with a Social Security Number and are often pushed behind the competition.
Both of these types of individuals can specifically apply to get the one-time payment of $500 through the Chicago Resiliency Fund Program.

Complete details on the program are available online, but the basic criteria for applying are as follows.
- You must be in Chicago at the time of submitting the application.
- Your age should be 18 years or above.
- Your household income should be about $69,000 for a family of three or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level.
- You must be an undocumented resident or a domestic worker.
